The property is situated on the doorstep of the world famous
Kirstenbosch Gardens in the leafy-green and historic suburb of
Bishopscourt. The suburb has quiet, tree-lined streets and is home to
the most gracious of properties. It also remains one of the finest and
highly exclusive areas of Cape Town.
Self Catering Accommodation
The style of the home is “French country” and has a very relaxed
ambience. The proportions of this home are large with all bedrooms and
reception rooms offering a wonderful feeling of space.
The house comprises of five generously proportioned bedrooms, each
with a walk-in cupboard, an en-suite bathroom and two and half bathrooms
servicing four bedrooms. There are three reception / family rooms and
an open-plan kitchen / dining room. Staff are accommodated in separate
The garden is fully enclosed and has a large swimming pool with a
pool net supplied on request. The pool is salt-chlorinated and can be
solar heated. There is tennis court, trampoline and climbing frame for
children. A lovely covered outdoor entertainment area faces the pool and
has views of the mountain. Also under cover is a built in fireplace and
a free-standing Weber braai.
The house facilities includes a fully equipped kitchen with two
ovens, a microwave, kettle, toaster etc and all the necessary cookware,
crockery, cutlery, glassware etc for up to 12 persons. There is a
dishwasher in the scullery off the kitchen, a pantry for groceries. In a
separate laundry there is a clothes dryer and washing machine. In the
family room there is a large plasma TV with video and DVD player and PVR
with satellite / cable. An iPod docking station is in the dining area
and in the lounge there is a CD system. The house is protected by a
house alarm and outside beams. Secure off-street parking is provided.
The house is serviced daily (except public holidays) by domestic
help which will be made available for the duration of the rental during
normal working hours.

The house is ideally situated with regards to Cape Town's major attractions i.e the magnificent and historical wine estates and vineyards of Constantia, the picturesque harbour of Hout Bay, the warm waters of False Bay, the international airport and the CBD of Cape Town.
The beautiful beaches of Llandudno, Camps Bay and Clifton are a fifteen
minute drive, as is the world class shopping centre and tourist
destination, the V&A Waterfront. Cavendish Square and Constantia Village are two shopping malls very closely situated.
With regards to activities in Cape Town: there are scenic city tours
(you could hop on and off at Kirstenbosch Gardens Top Gate, which is a 5
minute stroll away), wine-tastings on the wine estates, harbor cruises,
boat trip to Robben Island, hiking, golfing, outings for children,
